The air is crisp, the skies are clear, and the Three Gorges are dramatically lit. For a corporate retreat, this is the season for high-stakes strategy sessions and retreats requiring focused work. The reduced humidity means your suits and business attire stay fresh. TheDam Itself: A Masterclass in InfrastructureThe Three Gorges Dam viewing platform is a mandatory stop for any executive with an interest in large-scale engineering. The dam’s visitor center offers a private VIP tour for groups of eight or more. You can arrange this directly with the cruise concierge 48 hours before arrival. The VIP tour bypasses the long security queue and includes a guided visit to the control room observation deck, which is closed to general admission.

When your cruise disembarks in Chongqing, you have two options for returning to Shanghai. The direct flight from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport to Shanghai Pudong is 2 hours and 45 minutes. The better option for a group, however, is the high-speed train from Chongqing North Railway Station. The train takes 11 hours, but the business-class seats recline fully and include a meal service. This allows your team to work or rest without the security and baggage hassles of an airport. Arrange a private transfer from the port to the railway station directly through the cruise concierge. Do not use a taxi rank. The Chongqing port area is notorious for non-metered fares for foreign passengers.
